concept

My first idea was to work with the topic: "Indians/Native Americans" because thats a topic im really interested in. But the I realized that its very difficult to find motives for my pictures. I hardly know any Indians /people that roots go back to indians neither in my neighbourhood nor in places that are reachable for me. So i decided to choose a topic that has sth to do with the first topic: TRACES/TRACKS
For the indians it was a very important subject, it was depending on traces if they would be succsesful with hunting. Traces would let them know when an enemy was around. I think its interesting to think over traces in our times and what they mean today.

what I could do:
take photos of footprints of animals, humans or traces of cars, machines etc.

I could look for traces of different nature

f.e. traces that a human leaves (jacket on a chair, cigarettes etc. ) ,
traces that an airplane leaves in the sky

I could look for traces/tracks in a broader sense:

- life leaves traces f.e. in the face of a human: creases, scars
- traces that lead up to former times (f.e. old wall fragments)
- thoughts are also traces of things that we experienced in our life

traces can also appear in different context and can have a different meaning:

- traces in criminal cases, hunting, war, misbelief, supersticion (footprints of ape-man,Yeti)

traces of another coexsisting world/life - crop circles, comets, fossils.

"modern traces"
every person leaves traces in the internet. You can find a lot of traces at google or internet-comunities like myspace, facebook or studivz.

I think there are a lot of possibilities to find good motives to photograph
